Racers’ wax figures unveiled — worldwide visitors are welcome to Macao Grand Prix Museum for an enchanting blend of tourism and sports
Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and Madame Tussauds Hong Kong join hands for the first time to exhibit the wax figures of eight internationally-renowned racing drivers at the Macao Grand Prix Museum (the “Museum”) from today (27 March). The wax statues portray John Macdonald, Ron Haslam, Ayrton Senna da Silva, Sebastian Vettel, Michael Rutter, Lewis Carl David Hamilton, Robert “Rob” Huff and Edoardo Mortara. The waxworks are set to boost the charm of the Museum and enrich visitors’ experience, inviting visitors from worldwide to Macao for a colorful experience of “tourism + sports”.

Racers make public appearance --- Racers’ wax figures debut at Macao Grand Prix Museum on Monday (27 March 2023)
Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and Madame Tussauds Hong Kong make their first collaboration happen to exhibit wax figures of eight renowned racing drivers at the Macao Grand Prix Museum (the “Museum”) starting from Monday (27 March), to make the Museum more enchanting and enrich visitors’ experience. An inaugural ceremony will take place in the afternoon of the day to lift curtains upon the wax figures. Drivers Michael Rutter and Robert Huff are invited to grace the inauguration with their presence in Macao. As the Macau Grand Prix celebrates the 70th anniversary this year, exhibition of the wax figures, all modelled after internationally-celebrated motorsport racers, will add to the destination glamour that attracts visitors from diverse source markets worldwide to Macao.

In line with the expansion project of the Macao Grand Prix Museum, as well as to boost the charm of the Museum and enrich visitors’ experience, Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and Madame Tussauds Hong Kong join hands for the first time to debut the wax figures of eight renowned racing drivers at the Macao Grand Prix Museum (the “Museum”) on 27 March 2023. An inaugural ceremony will lift curtains upon the figures in the afternoon.

Lee Chong Wei’s Wax Figure To Be on Permanent Display in Madame Tussauds Hong Kong
The specially-commissioned wax figure of former world no.1 badminton player, Lee Chong Wei, will make its way to Madame Tussauds Hong Kong where it will be on display permanently from 18 March 2023.
