Best known for her roles in the recent hot Korean TV drama Uncontrollably Fond, movie Architecture 101 and song Bad Girl, Good Girl, popular Korean star Suzy Bae is ready for a red-carpet entry to Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. Followed by Korean heartthrob Kim Soo-hyun, model-turned-actor Lee Jong-suk and few red-hot Korean celebrities, Suzy Bae will be the first female Korean star arriving our attraction. Madame Tussauds Hong Kong also invited a few of Suzy’s lucky fans to meet Suzy in the ceremony.
Despite capturing hearts across Asia, Suzy remained personable as ever, flashing a warm smile and greeting media at the unveiling ceremony in Cantonese. Sporting a white backless mini dress with high heels, the extremely lifelike wax figure shows off the celebrity’s impeccable fashion-model physique. Madame Tussauds Hong Kong also custom made a mini figure for Suzy as souvenir.

To ensure the wax figure would be made to 2010perfection, the Madame Tussauds sculpting team flew to Seoul from United Kingdom for a 7-hour sitting process and meeting with the first female star Suzy Bae who will be arrived K-Wave zone. Suzy was very earnest and cooperative when the professional team shot hundreds of photographs from every angle possible for reference. Apart from this, a sample of Suzy’s hair, eyes, teeth casts, etc. were also acquired for replication to ensure all colour matched to create an accurate semblance.
Suzy Bae said: “I am extremely proud to have a wax figure of myself and excite to be the first female Korean star placed with top celebrities around the world at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. Appreciate the professional studio team gave me a memorable experience and spent a lone time for sitting process with me to ensure the final wax figure to be perfection. The world-exclusive wax figure of Suzy Bae will wear a white backless mini dress with high heels specially designed to exude contemporary style while showing off Suzy’s perfectly sculpted fashion-model physique. Bae revealed that her wax figure’s dynamic pose expresses her active spirit and youthful personality, whereas her ‘’heart’’ sign is meant to impart a positive attitude among visitors of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
In 2010, Suzy Bae debuted as a singer in Korean girl group miss A. They made new record for reaching number one in the shortest timeframe with title track Bad Girl, Good Girl in a TV music program and received the best new girl group award in Mnet 20's Choice Awards. After that, Suzy Bae stared as the leading role in TV drama Dream High and received the best new actress in KBS Drama Awards. In 2012, she was lead actress in the movie Architecture 101 and became famous in Asia. This movie broke the Korean love story movie box office record and most of the Korean enjoyed her pure character role. Suzy won the best new movie actress in 48th Baeksang Arts Awards with her lead role.
