Vienna is welcoming a prominent visitor from Hollywood: Timothée Chalamet is now on display as a wax figure at Madame Tussauds Vienna. To mark the upcoming theatrical release of “Dune: Part Three” in mid-December, the 30-year-old actor is temporarily taking up residence at Vienna’s Prater. There, he joins the ranks of international stars such as Ryan Gosling, Angelina Jolie, and Leonardo DiCaprio. For Chalamet himself, this is a first: the actor has never personally visited the Austrian capital before.

Before taking his temporary spot at Madame Tussauds Vienna, Chalamet went on a special outing with his co-star Zendaya: The two wax figures visited the Schönbrunn Desert House, where they created an extraordinary encounter between Hollywood and the fascinating world of desert landscapes. The historic building was constructed in 1904 as the “Sundial House” and has been operated as the Desert House by Schönbrunn Zoo and the Austrian Federal Gardens since 2004.

There is great excitement about the celebrity visit: “We’re thrilled about this celebrity visit, which brings a touch of Hollywood glamour to the Desert House. The leading roles here are usually played by fascinating animals—and they, too, have a lot to offer: from the Seychelles giant tortoises, which are over 100 years old, to the highly venomous Gila monsters. And who knows—maybe Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya will discover their very own desert stars here during a future visit to Vienna,” said zoo director Dr. Stephan Hering-Hagenbeck.

In terms of fashion, too, the two movie stars blend perfectly into their extraordinary setting. Zendaya wears a green snake-print suit by Tommy Hilfiger, while Timothée Chalamet makes a stylish appearance in a monochromatic brown ensemble. His outfit is inspired by a look by designer Tom Ford that the actor wore in September 2023 at an event in New York. Once again, the two wax figures prove that they turn heads not only on the big screen but also in the world of fashion.

“Timothée Chalamet is one of the most exciting actors of his generation. With his impressive performances, numerous awards and nominations, and his unmistakable style, he captivates fans around the world. Many of our visitors have been asking for his wax figure to be displayed in Vienna. We are therefore all the more delighted to welcome him here—albeit only for a short time—just in time for the upcoming theatrical release of ‘Dune: Part Three.’ Until mid-December, our guests will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the Hollywood star at Madame Tussauds Vienna,” said Lukas Rauscher, press spokesperson for Madame Tussauds Vienna.

Influencer Gets an Early Look at the Hollywood Stars

Even before visitors can discover the two wax figures at Madame Tussauds Vienna, influencer Kesha (@keshsia_) had the chance to meet Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya in person—in wax form. The content creator had the opportunity to experience the highly detailed figures up close and showcase the extraordinary looks of the two Hollywood stars. They, too, were thrilled by how lifelike the likenesses were.
