Madame Tussauds Vienna is preparing for a major summer reveal: material released today confirms that the very first figure of Schlager sensation Melissa Naschenweng will soon be presented at the world-famous attraction in the Prater.
The 35-year-old singer, who has turned the German-speaking Schlager scene upside down with hits such as “I steh auf Bergbauernbuam,” “Kompliment,” and “Rosa Dynamit,” worked closely with the studio team at Madame Tussauds. During a three-hour sitting that took place in mid-October 2025, the highly skilled artists captured every precise detail of the star. From the perfect skin tone to the exact hair and eye color, as well as the correct height, no detail was overlooked in order to make the figure as lifelike as possible.
The announcement comes shortly after the television premiere of her first major leading acting role in the film “Herzklang – Zurück zu mir”.
Speaking about her very first wax figure at Madame Tussauds Vienna, Naschenweng said: “When I received the news, I was honestly speechless at first. It’s not something you expect—that I, of all people, Melissa from the Lesachtal, would one day be immortalized at Madame Tussauds. It is a huge honor for me and probably the greatest recognition I have ever received. In that moment, I immediately thought of all the people who have accompanied and supported me along the way. Without them, this dream would never have become reality.”
“She is one of the biggest modern Schlager stars in our country—down-to-earth, immensely popular, and always close to her fans. This was also reflected in our internal visitor survey, where she ranked among the very top,” said Lukas Rauscher, press spokesperson for Madame Tussauds Vienna. “From the moment we started working with Melissa, we could feel how much she appreciates this honor. We can hardly wait to complete the figure and present it to our visitors soon.”
The pose and outfit in which the figure will appear are still being kept secret and will be revealed in mid-June, when Melissa Naschenweng herself will unveil the figure at Vienna’s Prater. The likeness will join Austrian music icons such as Hansi Hinterseer, Andreas Gabalier, and Christina Stürmer.
