• Monroe was married three times; to Jimmy Dougherty (1942-1946); Joe DiMaggio (1954) and Arthur Miller (1956-1961). Baseball legend Joe DiMaggio, sent fresh roses to her memorial site at Westwood Memorial Park in Los Angeles each week for 20 years, despite their marriage lasting only nine months.
